Democratic principles
- Independent representation on professional-policy and tariff matters
- Leadership elected directly by the members of the section
- Transparent member decisions and comprehensible positions
- Open to physicians working in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Membership in existing specialty societies remains possible
- The aim is freedom of choice and democratic legitimacy — scientific and postgraduate training work is not duplicated unnecessarily
